Abu Dhabi:Danish company Public Intelligence showcased LOVOT, a social robot developed by Japan's GROOVE X, during the Abu Dhabi Future Health Summit 2026 at the ADNEC Centre. The exhibition highlighted the potential of smart technologies to enhance human interaction and emotional wellbeing through companionship and communication.

According to Wam, the robot, LOVOT, combines artificial intelligence, sensing technologies, and autonomous movement to simulate human interaction. It is equipped with various sensors that allow it to perceive and interact with its environment, fostering positive emotions, particularly among those most in need of care.

Peter Julius, Chief Executive Officer and Partner at Public Intelligence, emphasized the significance of their participation in the summit through the stand of their strategic partner, Mediclinic Middle East. He noted that it provides an opportunity to gain insight into the UAE's advancements in digital health and technology, explore the local environment, and identify opportunities for future partnerships.

Julius further explained that LOVOT was designed to enhance human interaction with technology. The robot autonomously navigates its surroundings, seeking individuals willing to engage and establishing contact as soon as its sensors detect them.
