Death Toll From Philippines Earthquake Rises To 61

Manila: The death toll from the powerful earthquake that struck the southern Philippines on 8th June has risen to 61. The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council reported that 1,403 people were injured in the quake, while 40 others remain missing.

According to Emirates News Agency, search, rescue, and retrieval operations are continuing in the affected areas as emergency teams work to locate survivors and recover victims trapped by landslides and collapsed structures. Emergency response teams are tirelessly working amidst challenging conditions to ensure the safety and recovery of those impacted by the disaster.
