DEF GameExpo Summit 2025 Unlocks Funding Pathways for Next-Gen Gaming Startups

Dubai: The region's premier B2B gaming conference, GameExpo Summit 2025, returned to the Dubai World Trade Centre on 7th and 8th May, drawing global leaders, investors, and innovators to the core of MENA's burgeoning gaming economy.

According to Emirates News Agency, the event, powered by Pocket Gamer Connects in partnership with the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, is part of the fourth edition of the Dubai Esports and Games Festival 2025, organized by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment. The conference is set to host over 1,500 industry professionals worldwide, providing a platform for businesses to connect with developers, publishers, distributors, tool providers, and investors. Attendees have the opportunity to explore nine themed tracks focused on new technologies like web3, AI, and the metaverse, as well as the latest trends in monetization, user acquisition, and beyond.

The summit features over 70 speakers and high-profile panelists from the global gaming industry, leading strategic discussions. Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment, emphasized the summit's role as a critical platform for global industry professionals to engage with dynamic developments shaping the gaming sector. A new feature at the GameExpo Summit is the Investment Summit, focusing on current and emerging investment trends within the gaming sector. Additionally, the PitchPlay initiative, in partnership with DMCC, offers game entrepreneurs a chance to gain investment and win prizes worth AED 55,000.

The event also includes the Very Big Indie Pitch competition, celebrating new indie games and providing developers with real-time feedback. Connector SpeedMatch sessions facilitate rapid meetings between developers and investors, while the Big Indie Zone offers indie developers a space to showcase their games.
