The Deputy Minister of Fisheries, Taher Khater, inspected the conditions of fishermen and workers in a number of fish landing centers in Al-Hodeida province.
Khater accompanied by the Undersecretaries of the Ministry for the Traditional Fishing Sector Abdul Hamid Salah, Production and Marketing Services Abdul Ghani Al-Wali, Head of the Fisheries Authority in the Red Sea Hussein Al-Attas, and Directors of the Agricultural and Fish Production Encouragement Fund Abdul Wahhab Al-Ashwal, were briefed on the progress of work in the landing centers in the directorates of Al-Durayhimi, Bayt Al-Faqih, Al-Munira and Bajel.
They also reviewed the process of landing, sorting, packing, and ensuring the application of the necessary health standards to ensure the safety and quality of fish products, in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Fisheries.
He also stressed the need for coordination between the concerned authorities to achieve the highest levels of quality, safety, provide fresh and healthy products to consumers.
