Discussions regarding consular issues between Libya and Algeria.


Tripoli: meeting was held at the headquarters of the Department of International Relations and Cooperation today, Tuesday, to discuss consular issues between Libya and Algeria and address the obstacles facing the citizens of the two countries.

According to the Ministry of Interior, the Director of the Department of International Relations and Cooperation, the Director of the Public Protocol Department, the Director of the Consular Affairs Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and the Head of the International Cooperation Office were present on the Libyan side.

On the Algerian side, the Consul General and the Assistant Consul.

She added that the two sides stressed during the meeting the depth of relations between the two brotherly countries and the importance of addressing issues of residence, work and movement, and it was recommended to activate the work of the Joint Consular Affairs Committee.

Cooperation in combating smuggling and deporting illegal immigrants was a
lso discussed.
