Djibouti Leader Guelleh Claims Sixth Straight Term

Abu dhabi: Djibouti's President Ismail Omar Guelleh on Saturday claimed a landslide victory in an election that secured his sixth straight term. Guelleh won the presidential election with 97.8 percent of the vote, according to official results.

According to Emirates News Agency, Guelleh's only opponent, Mohamed Farah Samatar, received 2.2 percent of the vote, as reported by figures from the interior ministry.
