Gaza - Ma'an - Twenty-seven citizens were killed and dozens were injured in a series of air and artillery strikes targeting the eastern areas of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip. The Israeli army said it carried out 63 strikes since the morning hours. The martyrs and wounded arrived from the towns of Bani Suhaila, Sheikh Nasser, Al-Qarara, Qizan Al-Najjar and other areas to Nasser Hospital, which called on citizens to donate blood to save the lives of the wounded. The shelling coincided with the Israeli army's request for citizens to leave the eastern areas towards Al-Mawasi, west of Khan Younis, in a warning that is the second in one month. At the end of March, the Israeli army concluded a four-month ground operation in Khan Younis, during which it destroyed most of the city's neighborhoods, before the Israeli army returned to carry out intensive strikes again, killing and wounding dozens.
