Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy Highlights City’s Advantages at GITEX Asia

Dubai: Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, one of the three chambers under the Dubai Chambers umbrella, has successfully wrapped up its participation at GITEX Asia, which recently took place in Singapore. The event served as a significant platform for the chamber to display Dubai's competitive digital business environment to over 500 technology companies visiting its stand.

According to Emirates News Agency, the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy engaged in meetings with 30 of the region's leading venture capitals. These discussions aimed to explore opportunities for expanding investment portfolios in Dubai and to bolster collaboration efforts. Additionally, the chamber met with 25 digital ecosystem partners and technology-focused zones in Singapore to discuss enhancing cooperation between Dubai and Southeast Asian countries in digital economy and innovation-related sectors.

During GITEX Asia, the chamber delivered a comprehensive presentation on Dubai's flourishing startup ecosystem, emphasizing the emirate's appealing growth opportunities for technology-driven companies. The presentation also highlighted a variety of programmes and initiatives designed to support Asian businesses looking to expand their operations to Dubai, as part of efforts to establish the city as a global capital of the digital economy.

A primary objective of the chamber's participation was to attract digital startups from Singapore and across Asia to join Expand North Star 2025, the world's largest event for startups and investors, set to take place in Dubai this October. Organised by the Dubai World Trade Centre and hosted by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, the event provides a unique platform for startups to connect with global investors and expand their businesses internationally.

Through its involvement at GITEX Asia, the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy aimed to advance its strategic priorities, including establishing Dubai as a leading global destination for the digital economy.
