Dubai: Dubai Duty Free has once again clinched the prestigious award for "Best Duty Free Shopping in the Middle East" at the Business Traveller Middle East (BTME) Awards, marking its 24th consecutive win. The awards ceremony was held at the InterContinental Dubai Festival City on 28th April.
According to Emirates News Agency, the BTME Awards, launched in 2002 and organized by Motivate Media Group and Ink, recognize excellence across 40 categories within Airlines, Airports, and Hotels divisions. The recognition is based on a readers' and online survey conducted by Business Traveller magazine from 4th February to 7th March this year.
Dubai Duty Free emerged victorious against formidable competition from other nominated airport retailers in Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, and Abu Dhabi. Ramesh Cidambi, Managing Director of Dubai Duty Free, expressed gratitude, stating, "We are truly honoured to be recognised as the 'Best Duty Free Shopping in the Middle East' for a record 24 consecutive years. Our thanks to everyone who voted for Dubai Duty Free, and it is incredible to think that we have been the recipient of this award every year since they were introduced."
