Dubai Government Leaders Explore Danish Best Practices in Future-Oriented Sectors

Copenhagen: During a visit to the Kingdom of Denmark, a delegation of Dubai government leaders explored pioneering models and best practices in vital, future-oriented sectors, with the aim of fostering cooperation, the exchange of expertise and forging strategic partnerships that advance government work and innovation while aligning with future directions.

According to Emirates News Agency, the delegation's itinerary in Copenhagen included a series of meetings and field visits to government entities and leading global corporations. These engagements provided an opportunity to review advanced practices in enhancing quality of life and social well-being, education and future skills, innovation, urban planning, creative industries, logistics, and healthcare.

The delegation discussed avenues for strengthening cooperation while exploring innovative institutional initiatives and practices designed to advance government policies and services and enhance quality of life. It included representatives from various Dubai government bodies such as The Executive Office of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Chambers, Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, and more.

Among the highlights of the visit was a meeting with Denmark's Ministry of Social Affairs, Housing and Senior Citizens. The delegation reviewed national policies aimed at enhancing quality of life and social well-being, exploring mechanisms for developing services tailored to community needs and future shifts.

At Maersk, a leader in shipping and logistics, the delegation gained insights into the latest trends in supply chain management. Discussions centered on the future of the logistics sector and the importance of developing systems capable of adapting to global shifts.

The visit to the Danish Architecture Center allowed the delegation to explore sustainable urban planning models. Discussions focused on cooperation in urban design and the development of public spaces to build more innovative cities.

The delegation also visited the Amager Bakke/Copenhill waste-to-energy plant, learning about technologies in waste management and clean energy production. This visit emphasized the role of sustainability practices in reducing carbon emissions and enhancing urban life.

At Buddinge Skole, the delegation reviewed educational models emphasizing student empowerment and lifelong learning skills, aligning with global transformations and future job market requirements.

The visit to Creative Denmark highlighted Denmark's creative economy. The delegation explored opportunities for expertise exchange, focusing on amplifying the creative industries' contribution to economic and social development.

Furthermore, the delegation attended the '3 Days of Design' festival, exploring global trends in design and innovation. They were briefed on innovative models blending creativity, technology, and sustainability.

The visit to Healthcare Denmark provided insights into Danish healthcare solutions and cooperation models aimed at developing advanced healthcare solutions. The delegation also visited Novo Nordisk, where they explored innovations in pharmaceuticals, particularly for chronic diseases.
