Dubai International Chamber Expands Presence with New Toronto Office

Dubai: Dubai International Chamber, operating under the umbrella of Dubai Chambers, has officially launched a new representative office in Toronto, Canada. The strategic move underscores the chamber's commitment to enhancing economic ties and exploring opportunities to increase bilateral trade and investments between Dubai and Canada.

According to Emirates News Agency, the office was inaugurated during a ribbon-cutting ceremony in Toronto attended by Maninder Sidhu, Minister of International Trade for Canada, along with Eng. Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, Chairman of Dubai Chambers, Abdulrahman Al Neyadi, Ambassador of the UAE to Canada, and members of the Canadian business community. The opening strengthens the chamber's expanding global network and marks its first representative office in North America, part of the 'Dubai Global' initiative aiming to establish 50 offices worldwide by 2030.

Al Mansoori stated that the Toronto office represents a milestone in strengthening economic ties between Dubai and Canada. It will serve as a strategic platform to connect businesses, facilitate investment flows, and open new channels for bilateral trade, aiding Canadian businesses in leveraging Dubai's strategic location and competitive advantages for global growth.

The launch coincides with a period of strong business relations between Canada and Dubai, with non-oil bilateral trade surpassing AED10.2 billion last year. By the end of 2024, 4,112 Canadian companies were registered as active members of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, showing an annual growth of 29%. This momentum continued into 2025, with 289 new Canadian companies joining in the first quarter.

The Toronto office will be a vital resource for businesses in both regions. The chamber's team will engage with the Canadian business community, foster strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, and promote Dubai's advantages as a global business hub. It will provide Canadian companies with market intelligence and support to establish and grow in Dubai, while assisting Dubai-based businesses with insights and opportunities to expand into Canada, ensuring a successful market entry.
