Dutch inflation eases slightly in September as retail sales rise further

AMSTERDAM: Dutch inflation eased marginally in September, to the lowest level in three months, while retail sales grew for the second straight month, dpa reported on Tuesday, quoting separate reports from the Central Bureau of Statistics. Consumer prices logged an annual increase of 3.5 percent in September, following a 3.6 percent rise in August, the flash data revealed. The slowdown in overall inflation was largely driven by a 6.1 percent fall in energy costs. Source: Emirates News Agency
