Earthquake of 4.4 Magnitude Hits Dalahu City in Western Iran

An earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale struck on Monday Dalahu city, west of Kermanshah province, western Iran, without recording any human or material losses. According to the Iranian Seismological Center, the earthquake occurred at a depth of six kilometers. Iran is exposed to earthquakes and tremors from time to time due to its location over a major fault zone. The last major earthquake occurred in 2017 in the city of Sarpol-e Zahab in Kermanshah province, located in the west of the country, and led to the death of more than 430 people and the injury of 9,000 others with varying degrees of injuries.
