CAIRO: Egypt has reiterated its firm stance against any Israeli presence at the Rafah crossing or along the Philadelphi Route. Al Qahera News quoted a senior Egyptian official stating that Egypt is facilitating mediation between the conflicting parties in Gaza in line with its national security interests and to uphold Palestinian rights. The official highlighted that the Egyptian security delegation is making every effort to achieve an agreement between the parties, coordinating with partners in Qatar and the United States. Cairo hosted a meeting yesterday with officials from Egypt, the United States, Qatar, Israel, and Hamas aimed at reaching a ceasefire agreement for Gaza and finalising a prisoner exchange deal.
