Egypt, Russia call for immediate ceasefire in Gaza

CAIRO:The Arab Republic of Egypt and the Russian Federation emphasised the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and unrestricted access to humanitarian aid. During a meeting between the Egyptian Foreign Minister, Badr Abdel Ati, and his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov in Moscow, both sides reiterated the necessity of establishing a Palestinian state on all of the Palestinian national territory, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
