Beijing:Sixteen Emirati artificial intelligence experts will visit Beijing and Shanghai to engage with leading research institutions and technology companies. This study visit is part of the National Experts Programme - Artificial Intelligence Track (NEP-AI), and aims to understand how China transforms advanced research into entrepreneurship and large-scale AI deployment.
According to Emirates News Agency, the visit will take place from 12th to 16th October under the theme 'AI Governance, Smart Nation Systems and Digital Government'. The focus will be on how AI policies and technologies can support national priorities and government service delivery.
During their time in China, the Emirati delegation will engage with organizations such as Zhipu.ai, China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT), ByteDance, AgiBot, and Agentrix. These engagements will provide insights into various aspects of China's AI ecosystem.
This visit to China is one of three international study tours within NEP-AI, designed to expose participants to diverse approaches to AI research, policy, and commercialization across global technology hubs. Accompanying the 16 participants will be six NEP alumni and Fellows, who will share their experiences and partake in knowledge exchange during the visit.
