Emirati Children’s Day Highlights UAE’s Commitment to Child Support and Development

Abu dhabi: Hajar Ahmed Althehli, Secretary General of the Education, Human Development and Community Development Council, stated that Emirati Children's Day is an annual occasion reflecting the UAE's ongoing commitment to supporting children and nurturing their potential.

According to Emirates News Agency, Althehli remarked that the UAE is advancing an integrated framework that unites education, families, and the wider community, empowering children to discover their abilities and develop their talents from an early age. She noted that this year's celebration of the occasion coincides with the Year of the Family 2026, themed 'Growing in Unity,' which underscores the family's crucial role in a child's life and its significance in nurturing values, enhancing a sense of belonging, and supporting children's development.

Althehli emphasized that the family is the primary environment where a child's values are shaped, and their connection to the community begins to form. She highlighted the ongoing priority of equipping children with the necessary knowledge and skills to navigate a rapidly changing world.

She stressed the importance of providing children with care and reassurance that cultivate a sense of security, along with the foundations that enable them to continue learning confidently and prepare for a future that demands awareness, adaptability, and positive societal engagement.
