The Jeddah branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture observed the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer, which marks the 37th anniversary of the signing of the historic Montreal Protocol. In a press release issued today, the ministry reaffirmed Saudi Arabia's commitment to international efforts to protect the environment and ensure the sustainability of ecosystems. The ministry conducted awareness lectures and distributed leaflets to educate the public about the importance of the ozone layer and the risks posed by its depletion. It emphasized the crucial role of the ozone layer in protecting human life, and highlighted its efforts to foster cooperation among institutions and organizations, to preserve the environment and the ozone layer by complying with relevant regulations.
