ERC Launches Eid Clothing Project in Hadhramaut Governorate

Al Mukalla: The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) initiated its annual charitable project in the Yemeni city of Al Mukalla, Hadhramaut Governorate, to distribute Eid clothing to children with special needs, orphans, and the most underprivileged families. This initiative aims to support citizens in Hadhramaut and bring joy to their lives during the holy month of Ramadan.

According to Emirates News Agency, Hamid Rashid Al Shamsi, Advisor for Development and International Cooperation and ERC Representative in Hadhramaut Governorate, expressed the organization's dedication to launching the 'Eid Clothing' project for 2024. This effort aligns with the UAE's ongoing commitment to assist needy families and spread happiness during Eid Al Fitr.

Al Shamsi highlighted that the project targets 7,525 beneficiaries by distributing 1,075 shopping vouchers. Each voucher is valued at AED 200 and is redeemable at various shopping centres throughout the governorate. The initiative aims to alleviate the financial burden on families while bringing joy to the recipients.
