European companies showcase innovative solutions at GITEX

Nassima Ferahtia, Senior Project Adviser at the European Innovation Council (EIC), emphasised that the council's participation in GITEX Global 2024 in Dubai underscores its commitment to supporting research in emerging technologies and fostering the exchange of innovative solutions. During her remarks at GITEX, Ferahtia noted that 15 European companies are showcasing their cutting-edge solutions, aiming to explore opportunities for collaboration with Emirati and international companies. She added that these companies will debut at GITEX Africa and GITEX Europe in 2025, expressing pride in representing Europe's largest deep-tech investor. Ferahtia highlighted the EIC's pivotal role in supporting pioneering projects and programmes, especially startups and spin-offs, to develop and scale groundbreaking innovations. She pointed out that the council's pound 10.1 billion budget is allocated to innovation support, technology transfer, and the expansion of startups and SMEs. Source: Emirates News Agency
