European stocks on Wednesday closed lower , affected by a decline in luxury goods stocks, while the decline became more severe due to weak results in other sectors of the market, such as the banking sector. The European Stoxx 600 index recorded a decline of 0.6 percent at the close, and the technology sector was the biggest loser among sectors, declining by 2.4 percent. The French CAC 40 index lost about 1.1 percent, the German DAX index fell by 0.95 percent at close, and the British FTSE 100 index recorded a decline of 0.17 percent. Source: Qatar News Agency
