Dubai: The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) announced that the Day of Arafah and Eid Al Adha holiday for ministries and federal entities for the year 2026 will begin on Monday, 25th May, 2026, and continue until Friday, 29th May, 2026, with official work resuming on Monday, 1st June, 2026.
According to Emirates News Agency, this announcement comes as part of the annual calendar of public holidays for federal government employees, allowing them to plan their schedules in advance. The holiday period includes the significant Islamic observance of the Day of Arafah followed by the Eid Al Adha celebrations.
This extended break provides federal employees the opportunity to spend time with family and partake in traditional festivities. The resumption of work is scheduled for Monday, which allows for a full weekend after the festive period. This scheduling reflects FAHR's commitment to aligning work schedules with cultural and religious occasions.
