Abu Dhabi:According to Emirates News Agency, FANR’s Legal Affairs Department was recognized as the Government Legal Team of the Year for its role in developing national legislation, policies, and regulatory compliance. This department has been instrumental in supporting FANR’s mandate in nuclear safety, security, safeguards, and radiation protection, as well as fulfilling the UAE’s international obligations. It has also contributed to the development of Emirati expertise in nuclear law through specialized training and knowledge transfer.
Dr. Zoryana Vovchok, Director of Legal Affairs at FANR, received the Government Lawyer of the Year award. Her leadership has been pivotal in the advancement of the UAE’s nuclear regulatory framework. She has led the Legal Affairs Department for over a decade, supporting significant milestones in the nuclear and radiological sectors and enhancing UAE expertise at an international level.
