Al Ain: H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, known as the Mother of the Nation, and holding positions as Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, graced the 53rd Eid Al Etihad official celebration at Jebel Hafeet National Park in Al Ain with her presence. Joining her were several Sheikhas and women leaders, reflecting a strong representation of female leadership at the event.

According to Emirates News Agency, the 53rd Eid Al Etihad celebration featured performances that captured the essence of the UAE’s journey, showcasing insights from its forefathers and national accomplishments. The narrative presented during the event wove together elements of heritage and modernity, as well as nature and technology, to narrate the UAE’s distinctive history.

The 40-minute ceremony emphasized the UAE’s profound connection to nature and its evolution from ancient traditions to modern advancements. The
presentation was structured into seven chapters: Thuraya Star, Guided Through History, Simple Gestures, Under the Palms, A Flourishing Union, Shared Gestures, and Celebration, each depicting a unique aspect of the nation’s story.

A poignant moment of the celebration was the tribute to the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who spent his formative years in Al Ain under the guidance of his mother, Sheikha Salama bint Butti Al Qubaisi. The performance illustrated Sheikh Zayed’s journey from a young leader reviving Al Ain’s water resources, such as the aflaj system, to his pivotal role as the Founding Father of the UAE.
