ABU DHABI: The Federal Centre for Geographic Information signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Municipality and Planning Department- Ajman on Wednesday at the centre's headquarters in Abu Dhabi. This MoU aims to unify joint efforts and enhance collaboration between the two institutions, facilitating the exchange of expertise and information and streamlining data sharing processes. The initiative is designed to meet business requirements regarding spatial information, improve competencies in joint projects, and achieve the objectives and strategies of both entities. The signing ceremony was attended by Hamed Khamis Al Kaabi, Director General of the Federal Geographic Information Centre, and Abdulrahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director General of Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman, along with representatives from both sides. The MoU aims to enhance the qualifications of national workforce, raise Geospatial awareness in the community, and achieve the visions of both entities through parti cipation in training courses, workshops, and local and international conferences that contribute to knowledge growth in the geographic information sector.
