FIFA Invites Fans to Vote for Favourite Goal of the Tournament from Round of 32

Zurich: FIFA has announced the commencement of the second round of voting for the Goal of the Tournament, inviting fans to select their favorite from a curated list of 10 goals scored during the Round of 32 in the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2026.

According to Emirates News Agency, FIFA has highlighted the goal rush in North America, with the Round of 32 adding 42 goals to the record 215 goals scored in the group stage. This phase has presented FIFA.com users with an array of notable goals to choose from, narrowing the selection down to eight standout strikes.

The list includes goals from renowned forwards such as Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, and Harry Kane. Additionally, it features goals from players making their mark on the global stage for the first time, including Norway's Antonio Nusa and Cabo Verde's Sidny Lopes Cabral. This initiative is part of the process to determine the Hyundai Goal of the Tournament.

Fans have a 48-hour window to cast their votes once the voting period opens. The goal with the most votes will be declared the winner after the voting concludes. FIFA has also scheduled three more rounds of voting to follow the same procedure: one after the Round of 16, another combining the quarter-finals and semi-finals, and a final vote at the conclusion of the tournament.
