Sharjah: The Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation has initiated its first introductory tour for the "Prophet's Neighbours Endowment" project at the Sharjah International Airport Authority. This move is part of the foundation's promotional strategy aimed at engaging with department employees and visitors.
According to Emirates News Agency, the interactive pavilion hosted by the foundation at the airport's headquarters attracted a significant number of attendees. Participants were informed about the project's objectives, which include supporting and empowering orphans. The initiative has garnered attention from His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
Ali Salim Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah International Airport Authority, highlighted the authority's commitment to humanitarian efforts. He noted that supporting such initiatives aligns with the authority's strategic goals to serve the local community and contribute to national development.
Al Midfa stated that the airport authority's involvement in the project is consistent with Sharjah's vision to promote values of giving, social solidarity, and securing the future for orphans, which in turn contributes to sustainable growth. He also mentioned that embracing charitable initiatives is a testament to the authority's role in supporting Sharjah's economic and social development plans.
Mona bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Director-General of the Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation, expressed that these tours are crucial for spreading awareness about charitable endowments and encouraging community participation in supporting orphans. She emphasized that the project aims to establish ongoing charity as a vital component of sustainable social development.
At the pavilion, the foundation showcased various ways for individuals to contribute, including regular monthly deductions, the 'Endowment Dirham Initiative', and purchasing endowment bonds. Additionally, donation options via SMS, direct bank transfer, and the "Prophet's Neighbours" electronic platform were presented.
The Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation plans to continue these tours across different government and private entities in the emirate, fostering social responsibility and promoting the culture of charitable endowments within the community.
