FM holds America and Britain responsible for continuing to threaten international shipping and trade

Foreign Affairs Ministry denounced the American-British aggression against the Municipality of the Capital and the provinces of Sana’a, Hajjah, Sa’ada, Taiz, and Al-Bayda, considering this aggression in violation of international law and the purposes of the United Nations Charter.

The Ministry explained in a statement, a copy of which was received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), that the continuation of the American-British aggression represents a stark picture of the failure of the Security Council to carry out its responsibilities in maintaining international peace , security and protecting civilians, in light of the current structure of the Security Council membership, which threatens the collapse of the security system of the United Nations completely.

The statement stressed that the American-British aggression against the Republic of Yemen comes to permanently cover up the war crimes and genocide committed by the Zionist enemy against Palestinian civilians in Gaza Strip, is a failed attempt to threa
ten the leadership and people of Yemen because of its position rejecting the American-Zionist aggression and the Yemeni people’s fulfillment of their humanitarian and moral responsibilities in providing necessary support according to its capabilities to impose a naval blockade on the Zionist enemy , prevent and target ships owned by it or heading towards the occupied Palestinian ports.

It pointed out that the Yemeni people continue to go out in million-man marches in support of the Palestinians in Gaza, and to demand that the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council continue targeting ships owned by the Zionist enemy or heading to it until the Israeli aggression ends and humanitarian, food, medicine and fuel aid enters the Strip without any obstacles.

The Ministry reiterated its emphasis that the Republic of Yemen, which has withstood nine years in the face of the American-Saudi-Emirati military aggression and the siege that created the worst man-made humanitarian disaster, will not be det
erred by the American-British aggression from continuing its humanitarian and moral duty towards the Palestinians.

The statement held America and Britain responsible for the safety of maritime navigation and international trade in the Red Sea region, Bab al-Mandab Strait, and the Arabian Sea, as the presence of their forces is illegal and considered a form of occupation that must be fought by all countries overlooking the Red and Arabian Seas.
