FM meets Chargé d’Affaires of ICRC delegation in Sana’a

Caretaker Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf Abdullah met with Freya Raddi, Chargé d'Affaires of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) delegation in Sana'a. During the meeting, they discussed areas of cooperation between the Ministry and the mission, and the details of the participation of the International Red Cross in the talks on the exchange of prisoners in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman. In the meeting, Minister Sharaf praised the role played by the ICRC delegation and its role in alleviating the suffering of Yemenis due to the difficult situation the country is going through, in addition to its great assistance in the transfer of prisoners of war between the two parties during the last period. He stressed the ministry's commitment to provide all forms of support and facilities to the Red Cross mission to carry out its tasks as required, and to resolve any problems facing its presence in Yemen. For her part, the Acting Head of the ICRC delegation in Sana'a stressed that the ICRC will continue to provide all possible support to Yemen and contribute to alleviating the humanitarian suffering of the Yemeni people.
