The caretaker Foreign Minister, Engineer Hisham Sharaf, met the United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Safety and Security, Gilles Michaud.
During the meeting, aspects of joint cooperation between the Republic of Yemen and the United Nations were discussed.
Minister Sharaf confirmed that the relevant authorities in Sana’a are keen to provide facilities to all offices of United Nations organizations, programs and agencies and all their workers, and are also keen on the security and safety of the teams of United Nations organizations moving in the regions of the Republic of Yemen.
He pointed out the stability of the security situation in the provinces under the authority of the Supreme Political Council and the high safety environment known to United Nations organizations, programs and agencies.
For his part, the United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Safety and Security expressed his appreciation for the cooperation and facilities provided by the competent authorities in Sana’a.
