Jeddah, – Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah met today with Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Jalil Abbas Jilani, on the sidelines of the open-ended emergency extraordinary meeting of the OIC Executive Committee of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), at the headquarters of the OIC General Secretariat in Jeddah.
The two ministers discussed the military escalation and the ongoing developments in and around Gaza, international efforts to defuse tension, and ways to protect unarmed civilians from the recent escalation of military operations.
The Saudi foreign minister stressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s firm position in support of the Palestinian cause and efforts to achieve a comprehensive and just peace that ensures the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Eng. Waleed bin Abdulkarim El-Khereiji and Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs Dr. Saud Al-Sati attended the meeting.
