Abu Dhabi: Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, the fourth edition of Investopia (Investopia 2025) commenced today in Abu Dhabi at St. Regis Saadiyat. The event, themed 'Harnessing MegaForces,' aims to shape the global investment landscape and modern financing trends in sectors such as fintech, artificial intelligence, the circular economy, healthcare, clean energy, renewable energy, and green finance.
According to Emirates News Agency, Investopia 2025 has attracted over 100 speakers, including government leaders, ministers, investors, entrepreneurs, economists, and venture capital fund representatives from around 20 countries. The event welcomed more than 3,000 participants, along with representatives from leading financial and economic institutions worldwide.
Investopia 2025 was inaugurated by Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Chairman of Investopia, alongside high-ranking officials such as Mohamed Hassan Al Suwaidi, Minister of Investment, and others. Bin Touq highlighted the significant global participation, emphasizing the event's role in fostering collaboration, innovative thinking, and experience-sharing to connect business communities with investment opportunities. The event aims to develop effective solutions to geopolitical challenges impacting the global investment landscape.
Bin Touq outlined the three pillars of Investopia: 'Investopia Global Dialogues,' 'Investopia Investment Communities,' and 'Investopia Marketplace.' These initiatives focus on key issues shaping the global investment landscape and provide a platform for continuous engagement between investors, policymakers, and the private sector.
Mohamed Hassan Al Suwaidi, Minister of Investment, highlighted Investopia's role in showcasing the UAE's competitive investment landscape. He emphasized the UAE's strategic location, world-class infrastructure, and business-friendly environment, which position it as a hub for future economy sectors.
Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, remarked on Investopia's pivotal role in boosting investment and trade flows. He noted that the UAE has signed over 19 Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreements (CEPAs) with key strategic markets, enhancing trade flows and positioning the UAE as a prime destination for strategic investments.
Alia bint Abdulla Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Entrepreneurship, emphasized Investopia as a platform connecting investors with entrepreneurs and SMEs. The UAE's regulatory and legislative environment for entrepreneurship, supported by various initiatives, fosters a national entrepreneurial mindset.
Mariam Al Mheiri and Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa highlighted Investopia's role in shaping the future of investment and Abu Dhabi's ambitious vision for growth and investment. Al Shorafa outlined the Department of Municipalities and Transport's strategic vision for Abu Dhabi's future, emphasizing collaboration with the private sector.
Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Managing Director and Group CEO of Mubadala Investment Company, noted the UAE's commitment to innovation and investment in human capital. Investopia provides a platform for collaboration between investors, policymakers, and entrepreneurs.
Burak Daglioglu, President of the Investment Office of the Presidency of Trkiye, discussed Trkiye's increase in foreign direct investment inflows despite global challenges, reflecting the positive impact of structural reforms.
