French media.. Macron invites Al-Sudani to visit Paris at the beginning of next year

Baghdad, French media reported that President Emmanuel Macron addressed the issue of the current arrangements for holding the Baghdad conference in its second edition, which is expected to be held in Amman this month, during a phone call he made with Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’ al-Sudani.

The two officials discussed the situation in the region, and expressed their concern about the high escalation and tensions in it.

Macron stated that Iraq can count on France’s support in facing threats and in light of attempts to undermine the sovereignty and stability of Iraq, and they stopped at the issue of combating terrorism.

Macron invited Al-Sudani to visit France at the beginning of next year.

Macron and Al-Sudani agreed to continue coordinating with Jordan in order to prepare for the Baghdad 2 conference in Amman, which will bring together senior officials in the region and the French President before the end of the year.
