Frontline Heroes Office Highlights Mental Health Support for Workers

Abu Dhabi:The Frontline Heroes Office has emphasized the need to prioritize mental health for frontline workers, ensuring they can effectively perform their duties in all situations.

According to Emirates News Agency, the Office issued a statement on World Mental Health Day, observed annually on October 10th, underscoring this year's theme, "To Hear Lived Experience Real Voices, Real Change." This theme focuses on involving individuals with lived experiences in shaping policies, services, and decisions that impact their lives.

The Office praised healthcare professionals and other frontline workers for their dedication in challenging environments that demand constant readiness and stress management. It highlighted the importance of recognizing the challenges they face, ensuring access to appropriate support, and creating work environments that address their personal well-being along with professional responsibilities.

Commending the UAE Government's efforts, the Office acknowledged the policies and initiatives aimed at strengthening support for healthcare workers. It stressed that recognizing the contributions of frontline workers should go beyond acknowledging their service to ensuring their well-being as they carry out their duties.

"Protecting those who protect our community begins by caring for them," the Office stated, emphasizing the need for work environments that acknowledge the person behind the profession.
