Fujairah Ruler receives Egypt’s Petroleum minister

FUJAIRAH: H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, praised the special historical relations between the UAE and the Arab Republic of Egypt, based on the wise vision of the leadership of both countries.

He noted that these relations are witnessing further development in various fields, serving the interests of both fraternal peoples.

This came during when His Highness received Karim Badawi, Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources and Mahmoud Abdel Shafi, Undersecretary of the Ministry, and Waleed Lotfy, Chairman and Managing Director of PETROJET at the Al Rumaila Palace in Fujairah, and the accompanying delegation, who are on a friendly visit to the Emirate of Fujairah.

During the meeting, Sheikh Hamad listened to a detailed explanation from the Egyptian Minister about many topics related to the field of oil, gas, and energy in Egypt, the upcoming prospects in this context, and the efforts being made by the Egyptian government to develop this indus
try.

The Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources praised the pioneering role of the UAE in developing the energy sector and the pivotal role of the Emirate of Fujairah in this regard and in the oil trade and storage globally, given its advanced capabilities and technologies that have contributed to raising economic indicators regionally and internationally.

This came after his tour and on-site review of many economic projects in the emirate, where he visited Port of Fujairah, Fujairah Oil Industry Zone, Fujairah Natural Resources Corporation, and Brooge Energy.

During the meeting, Badawi also highlighted the tremendous potential of the emirate and the unique services it provides to investors in all economic fields, as well as its extensive experience in the trade and storage of oil.

He also emphasised the need for future cooperation to ensure broad economic partnerships.

The meeting was attended by several officials.
