G20 Trade Sees Significant Growth in Second Quarter of 2026

New york: G20 Merchandise trade accelerated in Q2 2026: G20 merchandise trade witnessed a notable acceleration in the second quarter of 2026. Measured in current US dollars, the quarter-on-quarter import growth increased significantly to 6.7%, up from 5.2% growth in the previous quarter. This growth is attributed to strong increases in a number of G20 economies.

According to Emirates News Agency, G20 merchandise exports growth remained broadly stable at 5.9%. Preliminary estimates also indicate an acceleration in services trade, with exports rising by 3.4% and imports by 2.5%, compared to 2.0% and 1.5% respectively in the first quarter of 2026.
