GAFI chief, Polish companies probe investment potentials

The government gives prior attention to attracting investments into major environmentally-friendly projects, affirmed CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) Mohamed Abdel Wahab.

He pointed out to the cabinet’s recent decision to provide incentives and support to projects engaged in activities related to green economy.

Abdel Wahab’s remarks came during his meeting with a delegation of major Polish companies to review prospects of investment cooperation between the two countries in spheres of clean energy and the environmentally-friendly industries.

During the meeting, Abdel Wahab urged the Polish delegation to engage in investment partnerships with the Egyptian business community in order to benefit from Egypt’s strategic location.

He further pointed out to the government’s decision to facilitate investment procedures and set a specific time limit for services performance for investors.

The GAFI is working to promote cooperation with the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) in promoting investment projects and exchanging visits between the Egyptian and Polish businessmen, he added.
