GAM Launches Revamped Website for Enhanced Digital Services

Amman: Mayor of the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) Yousef Shawarbeh has officially launched an upgraded version of the Municipality’s website.

This digital step forward was unveiled Monday in a ceremony attended by Ahmed Hanandeh, Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, and Makram Qaisi, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities.

This new iteration of the website, developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Economy, is a key milestone in the Municipality’s broader digital transformation strategy and its efforts to enhance the electronic services it offers.

This upgrade aligns with the latest developments in the information technology sector, reflecting a commitment to staying at the forefront of digital advancements.

Mayor Shawarbeh highlighted the website’s role as a critical communication platform linking the secretariat with the citizens of Amman.

He emphasized the secretariat’s ongoing commitment to elevating service efficiency and effectively addressing the needs and demands of its
residents.

The website, according to Shawarbeh, was designed and developed to meet modern technological standards. It features daily content updates and boasts user-friendly navigation, catering to a broad range of users.

The site allows citizens to easily access information regarding the secretariat’s services, plans, programs, and news, ensuring sustainable and straightforward digital engagement.

Minister Hanandeh spoke of the broader initiative to update government websites, aligning them with contemporary technological advancements.

These revamped websites are characterized by their accessibility and cutting-edge technology, offering enhanced usability for citizens, including those with special needs.
