Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) Council member, Khaled Mahfouth and the Executive Director of Culture Department, Thamer Shoubaki, participated in the 2024 international forum on culture and tourism development of Silk Road cities, which was held in the Chinese city of Kunming. Mahfouth gave a brief presentation on Amman and its tourism and cultural history, noting that through this participation, GAM looks forward to strengthening cooperation ties with Chinese cities, leveraging their expertise in culture and tourism fields, and transferring them to develop the specialized sectors in Amman. Shobaki, in turn, explained that the GAM's participation in the forum aims to enhance its knowledge of important activities in ancient Chinese cities, which contributes to building mutual cultural relations and future cooperation opportunities.
