Gaza Strip: 69 killed in 24 hours, war toll rises to 40,074

Gaza Strip: Israeli forces carried out five massacres across the occupied Gaza Strip in the last 24 hours with 69 dead bodies and 136 injured people arriving in hospitals, according to the Gaza Health Ministry. The latest casualties from the ongoing war, now in its 316th day, raised the death toll to 40,047 and the total number of injuries to 92,537, it said. It said in its daily update of casualty figures that many victims remained entombed under the rubble of buildings targeted by air strikes and bombardment, or were on roads out of reach of civil defense crews.
