GCA President Chairs INTOSAI Meetings of Policy Committee and Donor Cooperation Steering Committee

The President of the General Court of Audit, Dr. Hussam Abdulmohsen Alangari, has presided over the 21st meeting of the policy, finance and administration committee of the International Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) as the committee chairman. He also convened the 17th meeting of the INTOSAI-donor cooperation steering committee as the chairman of the INTOSAI side, with the World Bank as the head of the donor community, in Bucharest, Romania, from September 16-17, 2024. During the policy committee's meeting, Dr. Alangari reiterated the committee's dedication to providing steadfast support to the INTOSAI community in attaining its objectives and persisting in collaborative endeavours to improve transparency and accountability in the supreme audit institutions. The meeting focused on several topics on its agenda, including the Secretariat General's report on the financial status of the INTOSAI organisation, the committee's overall report from the Court of Audit highlighting its key accomp lishments and activities, and the reports from the heads of strategic objectives. During the donors' steering committee meeting, Dr. Alangari emphasised the need to uphold the independence of the supreme audit institutions globally, expressing his pride in the successes achieved by this committee in supporting the counterpart supervisory bodies.
