GCC and European Parliament Focus on Strengthening Ties and Regional Developments

Riyadh: Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), met with a delegation from the European Parliament, led by Reinhold Lopatka, at the General Secretariat headquarters in Riyadh. The meeting focused on enhancing the partnership and cooperation between the GCC and the European Parliament, aiming to serve mutual interests and benefit their peoples.

According to Emirates News Agency, the discussions included exploring optimal ways and proposals to enhance bilateral relations. Albudaiwi emphasized the GCC's commitment to strengthening ties with regional and international partners to promote development, prosperity, security, and stability. He noted that the visit by the European Parliament delegation marks a significant step in reinforcing Gulf-European relations and opens new avenues for cooperation.

The meeting concluded with a discussion on the latest regional developments. The European Parliament delegation expressed its support for the GCC states in the face of recent Iranian attacks against them.
