GCC Condemns Continued Israeli Aggression Against Palestinians: Kuwait’s Permanent Representative to UN in Geneva

Geneva: The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) strongly condemned on Thursday the continued Israeli aggression, forced displacement policies, and attempts to change the demographic character of the occupied Palestinian territories, including Jerusalem. This statement was made during a speech by Kuwait’s Permanent Representative to the UN and other international organisations in Geneva, Ambassador Nasser Al-Hain, who also serves as the Chairman of the Council of Ambassadors of the GCC.

According to Emirates News Agency, Ambassador Al-Hain delivered his remarks during a dialogue on the report of the UN Special Rapporteur on human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories. The GCC expressed its appreciation for the efforts of the UN Special Rapporteur and voiced deep concern over the report’s findings, which underscored the ongoing violations against the Palestinian people.

Ambassador Al-Hain reaffirmed the GCC’s unwavering stance on the Palestinian issue, emphasizing the necessity of ending the Israeli occupation of all Palestinian and Arab territories. He highlighted the importance of enabling the Palestinian people to exercise their right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
