GCC Secretary General hails Emirati-Saudi mediation for the release and exchange of prisoners between the United States of America and the Russian Federation

Riyadh, Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), praised the efforts of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which resulted in the release and exchange of two prisoners between the United States of America and the Russian Federation.

The GCC Secretary General emphasized that the success of the mediation efforts reflects the GCC leaders’ directives to promote the language of dialogue among all parties and maintaining regional and international peace and security in order to achieve peace among all peoples of the world.

On this occasion, Al-Hajraf lauded the cooperation between the governments of the United States of America and the Russian Federation as well as their response to the joint mediation efforts exerted by the leaderships of the two countries.
