GCC Secretary General Urges Immediate International Action to Stop Israeli Aggressive Violations against Innocent Palestinians

Riyadh: Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi called on the international community to act collectively and exert pressure on the Israeli occupation forces to halt their dangerous aggressive violations against Palestinian territories and their threats to the lives of innocent civilians.

Albudaiwi stressed that the continuation of reckless attacks and provocations undermines the prospects for peace and contribute to the escalating cycles of violence in the region, adding that this necessitates an immediate international intervention to end the crisis.

He affirmed that the expansion of Israeli military operations within Palestinian territories, including Rafah in the Gaza Strip, would expose the lives of many Palestinians to risks and directly threaten the security and peace of the entire region.

Albudaiwi reiterated the GCC’s steadfast support for the Palestinian cause, referring to the statement issued by the 44th extraordinary ministerial meeting of the GCC, which reaffi
rmed the commitment to the call for an international conference involving all relevant parties to discuss all issues related to the Palestinian cause and to reach a solution based on ending the Israeli occupation and establishing an independent Palestinian state with east Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with relevant United Nations resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
