Riyadh, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Dr. Nayef Falah M. Al-Hajraf condemned the terrorist attack carried out by the Houthi militia against Abha International Airport in Saudi Arabia.
In a press release, Al-Hajraf stated that this targeting is a cowardly terrorist attack and a war crime that endangers the lives of civilians, calling for holding the perpetrators accountable in accordance with international humanitarian law.
He praised the vigilance and efficiency of the forces of the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in intercepting the booby-trapped drone towards the airport.
The GCC expressed full solidarity and firm standing with the Kingdom in all the measures it takes to defend its territories and preserve its security and safety of its citizens and residents.
