GCC’s Member States Condemn and Reject Israeli Aggression’s Escalation against Al-Quds City

New York, The Arab States of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) have expressed their condemnation and rejection of the aggression’s escalation against the city of Al-Quds (Jerusalem), and the intensification of the policy of forced displacement in Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood and in Silwan and other areas, calling on the international community to intervene to stop targeting the Palestinian presence in the city of Al-Quds, and attempts to change its legal nature and demographics as well as the arrangements for Islamic holy sites, and attempts to impose Israeli sovereignty over them in clear violation of international law and resolutions and existing agreements concluded in this regard, stressing the need to move away from unilateral measures.

This came in the statement of GCC’s Member States before the UN Security Council during its session held under the item “The Situation in the Middle East: Including the Question of Palestine”, which was made by the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations, Ambassador Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al-Wasel.
