The General Presidency of Islamic Research and Ifta has received more than 22,000 phone calls, over 56,000 messages on WhatsApp, and the visit of more than 6,000 people at its headquarters during the Hajj of 1444 Hijri.
Director General of the General Department of Fatwa Sheikh Walid bin Mohammed Al-Saadoun said the presidency is keen to respond to inquiries about fatwas. He added that the presidency has received in person inquiries about fatwas at the headquarters in Makkah and Mina, as well as inquiries over the phone.
