Abu dhabi: The Global Council for Tolerance and Peace has commended the UAE and its wise leadership for providing urgent aid worth US$100 million to the brotherly people of Lebanon, in addition to launching the ‘UAE Stands with Lebanon’ relief campaign.

Ahmed bin Mohamed Al Jarwan, President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, stated today that this humanitarian initiative embodies the spirit of brotherly solidarity and cooperation among Arab nations, reflecting the UAE’s continuous commitment to supporting its brotherly nations in times of crisis.

He stressed that this initiative comes amidst the challenging conditions Lebanon is facing, calling on the international community to work earnestly to protect civilians in accordance with international laws and conventions.

‘The UAE and its wise leadership’s initiative is part of the ongoing efforts made by the UAE to promote the values of human solidarity, fraternity, and peace, expressing the leadership’s constant efforts to alleviate the suffering
of people and extend a helping hand in the most difficult circumstance,’ he added.

Al Jarwan highlighted that this step underscores the UAE’s pioneering role on the international stage in providing humanitarian support and enhancing cooperation to confront crises and meet the needs of affected communities. He noted that such initiatives strengthen the UAE’s established position as a leading nation in humanitarian work and international solidarity.
