Gold prices on Wednesday reached a new record level in spot transactions at $2,665.10 per ounce, with U.S. gold futures rising by 0.2%.
The dollar fell by 0.2%, making dollar-denominated bullion cheaper for other currency holders.
Other precious metals saw stable prices.
